Known as a musical "gun for hire", Cameron Jamieson has earned a reputation as one of Melbourne's most vibrant, multi-skilled and happiest violinists. He has served in principle rolls with Victorian Opera, Melbourne Baroque Orchestra, Homophonic!, Genesis Baroque, Australian Haydn Ensemble, Inventi Ensemble, Southern Cross Soloists and Queensland's Camerata. He's a regular guest of most Australia's state orchestras as well as with the national opera and ballet companies. In the studio Cameron has led the string sections for The Cat Empire, King Gizzard and The Bamboos as well as music for film and television. A graduate of the Australian National Academy of Music, he is committed to passionate performance every day and is fuelled by a deep warmth in never taking the joy of making music for granted.
