Open to younger and developing string players, these classes will be run by junior string players specialist Joanna Fairs-Wu. Cost: $30 per 1 hour session
String Ensemble Class 9.30 - 12.30 Saturday 2 July
Open to intermediate to advanced string players, this class will focus on ensemble and fundamental skills such as listening, leading and following, rhythm, intonation and balance. Cost: $60
Riverina Youth Orchestra 9.30 - 12.30 Saturday 2 July
Open to members of the Riverina Youth Orchestra, this session will be under the direction of QSO’s Principal Conductor Johannes Fritzsch, who will guide the orchestra on the interpretation of sections of Peer Gynt. Cost: $60
Advanced String Masterclass 1.30 - 4.30 Saturday 2 July
Open to AMusA level players and above on violin, viola, cello and bass. The class will be convened by former Head of Strings at University of Tasmania Dr Susan Collins (vn) and will include Doreen Cumming (vn), Sandro Costantino (va) Edith Salzmann (vc) and Max McBride (cb) . The class numbers are capped at six players, each of whom will have 25 minutes each focus time to present a solo piece. Cost: $150
Advanced Piano Masterclass 9.30 - 12.30 Saturday 2 July
Open to AMusA level players and above, participants will work with internationally acclaimed concert pianist Andreas Boyde. The class numbers are capped at six players, each of whom will have 25 minutes focus time to present a solo piece. Cost: $150
Conducting 1.30 - 4.30 Saturday 2 July
Work with Principal Conductor of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Johannes Fritzsch. The class numbers are capped at eight. Cost: $150
Andante Adult Ensemble 1.30 - 4.30 Saturday 2 July
Open to low to intermediate level mature age string players, this class will focus on fundamental skills and ensemble playing. Cost $60
