The leading classical mandolinist of his generation, Stephen Lalor has performed, recorded & toured internationally with the SSO & ACO among other orchestras. Performances include the major Australian Festivals, plus Edinburgh, Tanglewood (USA) & Montreux Jazz Festivals. His ABC recordings over 30 years range from classical to contemporary and folk music.
He studied mandolin technique at The Tchaikovsky Conservatorium, Kyiv. A composition PhD, his music is published, performed & recorded internationally.
Former Head of Contemporary Performance at The Australian Institute of Music, he has delivered mandolin workshops and masterclasses around Australia & overseas.
